In April 1952, it became the Guiyang Library of Guizhou Province, and in November 1956, it was renamed the Guizhou Library. The library officially opened and began operations in December 2004.ShareAccording to information from the library's official website in November 2018, the Guizhou Library has a total building area of 30,548 square meters, with 21 rooms for borrowing various types of literature. It has 17 institutional departments and 177 staff members. The library's collection totals 2.139 million volumes (items), with more than 40 digital resource databases, totaling over 150TB of resources.
